Where Does the Money Come From?Did you know that the Foundation for the Future Committee is the sole funding source for the VOTE YES campaign and all related expenditures including yard signs, and print and radio advertising? Because the school district cannot use public funds to advocate for or against a measure that will appear on a ballot, the Foundation for the Future, through private donations, pays for any and all advertising that strictly advocates for a YES vote on the bond issue. The school district is allowed to use public funds to distribute materials that are of a strictly informational nature, like meeting times, financial information regarding the bond, current building and budget information, and potential future effects of a successful bond attempt.
The Solution is Not More Band-Aid FixesDid you know that, since 2008, the district has expended approximately $1.6 million on major upgrades and maintenance projects to its school buildings throughout the district?
